It has been only seven short months since Jerry “the dog” Henderson began working out at Studio360. He is now enjoying a lifestyle that he might not have imagined only eight months ago. Last year, Jerry was working at a job and living a lifestyle that were both very sedentary. In fact, Jerry began suffering from osteoporosis. Osteoporosis is a disease in which bones become fragile and very susceptible to breaking. Any bone is susceptible to breaking, but according to the National Osteoporosis Foundation:

“… of special concern are fractures of the hip and spine. A hip fracture almost always requires hospitalization and major surgery. It can impair a person’s ability to walk unassisted and may cause prolonged or permanent disability or even death. Spinal or vertebral fractures also have serious consequences, including loss of height, severe back pain, and deformity.”

He began to become concerned about the combination of his age, his weakened bones,  and inability to perform routine daily functions. It was affecting his life negatively both physically and mentally, and he wanted to do something about it other than continue to take the medication he was prescribed. That’s when he added working out at Studio 360 to a comprehensive health regimen.  He decided to take advantage of one of Studio’s Three Month Specials and has not looked back! Jerry alternates both weight training and cardio and according to trainer Justin Hair, “He comes in every day ready to get the job done. He has made marked improvement. He can now run, jump, and navigate steps due to improved bone density.” Jerry’s tenacity and resolve can be an inspiration to us all. Congratulations “Rocky “!!
